Fnis not downloading to mod organizer unable to remove
I cannot read it, but can send to you. Only problem is here I cannot attached this file. So how can I send to you? I don't actually have access to my workstation during the week so I can't do much with a crash dump, maybe if some other dev takes interest he can have a look. To upload it you would need to use a separate service such as Mega or Dropbox. Well the log you already have it on the very first message I sent.
I have try just now to launch Fnis several time but it doesn't seems to generate new log. I am nivice with drop box but I try to share crrashdump here. I cleaned the log folders before, setup to debug, then run Fnis 1 time. Close Mo2. And there was only 2 logs in the folder, mo log and usvfs log. Hi, I just want to know if I sent you the correct informations and if you think you will be able to find something with thos "debug"?
Hi, I don't want to be insistent bit I am in fact, sorry , but have no news for 3 days now so I would like to know if you can find anything with those usvf I send you or Sorry I don't always have time. I have looked at the log and it appears you have a fnis installed in the data folder?
At least when run it seems to try to open that one. Can you please make sure that the data folder is completely vanilla, make a new empty profile, delete all FNIS shortcuts, install FNIS in the new profile, add it from the data tab, make sure the exe path is of the folder you just added. Try running it and send the log in case of failure. Do you perhaps have a program called macType that changes the font to IOS style in all programs?
Or some other program like that? Looks strange. Why would it tried to launch it from a unexistant folder Well I don't know anything about mactype, and I am pretty sure that I do not use this knid of program. I leave in france in 2 days and I will not have use skyrim for 1 month since I come back, so I will check for tthis in january unfortunatly now. Thanks for your help by the way. We released a new MO2 version on discord could you try it out? Could we continue this conversation on discord?
We have the bots there helping us with explanations etc and responses are faster. Just ping me there. Just go in testers channel and ping me by typing AL there. You should be able to find me at the very top of the right pane where the server users are listed, in the Lead Devs Role.
I am having the exact same issue i should say i did everything the same Did te op had a solution?. Sorry for replying an old thread. Its probably too late. Have this issue also, but in newer MO 2. It still doesn't work by shortcut. Closing this for organization purposes, please open a new issue if you still have this problem, or try visiting the Dev discord.
Jojo View Profile View Posts. I'm beginning to feel this discussion forum is becoming a Nexus Mods troubleshooting forum and not a Skyrim SE forum. Really any issues with mods should be posted in the Nexus forum under the mod itself. Originally posted by Jojo :. Last edited by smr ; 27 Jul, am. Originally posted by smr :. If you get it to work please post back here. Last edited by Squirrell ; 27 Jul, am. I've used FNIS with an animation mod that required it and it works fine in SE so far , but as it says on the mod page you need to download a Generator tool as well. In fact all the stuff you need is mentioned in the mod description page. I'd much rather read stuff properly and follow instructions carefully than run the risk of a corrupted save game. Works seamlessly for me and has for years!!! Alternatively you can to to towards the bottom and there you will find a place where you can enter a "Namefilter". From here the installation is basically the same. Double click on it and an "Install Mods" panel will open.
Current version of FNIS will give you bright red text. When this happens you need to click on the arrow on the side of the entry for your mod you wish to install. If you see "Looks good". When you click on it you will see a "Data" folder.
Right click on that and you will then be able to "Set Data Directory". Afterwards you will see this. The key to know it is setup correctly is the green text "Looks good".
Now you can click OK. Mod Organizer will process and give you a new mod entry on the left side depending on what you typed in on the top of the panel. You will follow the basic steps from above for any of the options you have.
However with one difference. You can choose to "Merge", "Replace", "Rename", "Cancel". Essentially the mod has already been installed.
This often happens when you try to install optional components of the same mod. You have a choice here you can "Merge" or you can go back to the top of the install window and change the name to a more appropriate one for the optional component you are installing. Mod Organizer is powerful and you have lots of options.
It is up to you to choose how you want to handle the installed mods. If you rename a mod for a separate entry you need to be vigilant to be sure all optional patches are below the main module so that the correct files are presented to the game.
If you decide to "Merge" you need to be sure you are installing them in proper order. Much like you would have to do with Nexus Mod Manager or other traditional managers. This will make those files that would conflict overwrite the files from the main module in favor for the optional packs. Don't merge mods that aren't the same unless you really know what you are doing.
Otherwise you will have wasted your time setting that mod entry up. No harm will come to the mods installed as they are separate entries. You however would have to recreate the mod entry again and delete the bad one. I sometimes merge them Depends on my mood and what I want. If I am checking for conflicts with other mods I usually have all the optional patches in question separately installed. Now to go play a game, right You need to set it up correctly for Mod Organizer to function properly.
There are many sources and ways to set up what is called an executable in Mod Organizer. I will show you one specific for FNIS. Others might require special setups. Follow those setups until you are sure of what you are doing.
Don't worry about playing around. The design of Mod Organizer is to protect your game folder. If you screw something up, most of the time it is a simple fix of going back, delete what you did and doing it correctly the next time. I will try to keep the instructions on how to create an entry in MO for executable as simple as possible and something you can do with other executable you might have going forward.
This instructions shroud work for most of them. I want to take a moment to let you know that all executable that are needed to access the mods in Mod Organizer must be ran through MO. To start with this step we will move to the top of the right side. There you will see a Run button. To the right of that is a drop down panel. Click on that and you will see various entries of executable that you have installed and Mod Organizer already recognizes.
Now you see in the small window the various executable you have installed. Your window might not have all the executable I have as i have already installed many.
